Films Michael J. Fox should not have made

Life with Mikey!

reply

For Love or Money was pretty forgettable

I think Fox even said For Love Or Money was the poor mans version of The Secret Of My Success

reply

Agreed. That was probably his most pointless film. Not necessarily his worst (although I can't think of a worse one off the top of my head), but just his most pointless and forgettable.

reply

Disagree. Life with Mikey was a really good story. Also he and Nathan Lane played off each other perfectly.

reply

Casualties of War Bright Lights Big City.

reply

Casualties of War was pretty bad, he was terribly miscast.

reply

I think he was trying for more 'adult' roles.

Whoever was his agent then did not know how to do this. Michael J Fox is not one of the soldiers doing the raping. but it's still pretty brutal. He would have been better as the administrator at an inner city crisis center facing budget cuts---and trying to balance a love life.

This isn't one of the films he's overall known for. Good thing it is sandwiched in between blockbusters. His career would have tanked otherwise.

reply

I thought he was good in Casualties of War and it was a really good movie imo.

reply

He was very good in that movie. It shows he can do dramatic roles.

reply

Good movie and he was good in it. But it was Sean Penn that really did the acting.

reply

Sean Penn´s a good actor but its one of his lesser roles, all he did was play the villain. MJF had to really act his tail off here.

reply

But it was Sean Penn that really did the scenery chewing*

reply

That's one of his best movies and roles.

reply

Have to disagree. Casualties of War is a very good movie. One of Michael J Fox's best performances.

reply

War Games. It was so good with Mathew Broderick.

reply

Broderick was perfect for War Games, but I can see MJF doing an excellent job as well.

reply

All of them. He was a TV sitcom guy, not movie material.

reply

If you've included BTTF series, your opinion has lost credibility.

reply

Lots of A listers started on TV and sitcom. The thing with Michael is he has (had) a schtick that he's hired for. He's sort of like the American Hugh Grant. They're hired to be cute, befuddled, and charming.

reply

Noneuvum.
