Should Harrison Ford be the only man to play Indiana Jones?

I say NO! They need to reboot the franchise so viewers can see a younger actor continue the adventures. I'm hoping that Disney goes broke soon so they will have to sell off Lucasfilm. That will allow a competent studio to make decent Indiana Jones films. It would be so cool if Harrison Ford was constantly asked what he thought of the new Indiana Jones.

Harrison Ford told Craig Melvin back in 2019 that only he could play Indiana Jones.

This interview makes me believe some of the internet rumors about Indiana Jones being erased and replaced by Phoebe Waller Bridge. Harrison Ford would likely have been the only actor to play Indiana Jones if the character was erased from time.

Others have tried. River Phoenix did in "IJatLC", and there was a short-lived "Young Indy" TV show. Plus, the failure of "Solo".

So Ford may not appear to have all that much on the surface, he's not the best actor or the hottest guy ever to step in front of a camera, but whatever he does have seems impossible to replicate.

every other role has been played by more than one person

so, no

Not for quite some time. At least wait until Ford is no more. I am not optimistic it would work out but they likely will try at some point. There won't be Williams, Lucas, or Spielberg around either at some point. That's a lot of ground to make up.
