oh no, the met gala

Ah yes, the gathering of over dressed, publicity starved somebodies and wanna be's all waiting to kiss snob queen Anna wintour's boyish behind. CF and Mrs on the carpet, looking like they've never met. I always think a little less of 'celebrities' when they show at this ritual for the truly self absorbed, secretly judgmental to congratulate each other for being so special. Just Sad.

I love Colin but I've always found her wife to be a crap dresser and she's kind of pretentious with her whole "I'm the queen of the eco fashion BS" as if she has invented that term or something. Some people have been doing this stuff for years.Nobody would have given a F* if she wasn't Mrs FIRTH ! She's just using her husband's fame to be relevant.

I saw the pictures and I know I will be blasted for this, but I don't like Colin's look. He looks too thin and almost plastic now. I know he had to lose weight for a project, but I liked him with more meat on him.

His wife is pretty and I deserves some credit for his career achievements in more recent years and his focus, yet there is something artificial about her. She reminds me of Kidman. As long as they are happy I guess is all that's important.

But yeah I am not a fan of the rich and famous getting together to pat themselves on the back.

I think he looked better at the Rainforest Alliance gala :

"yet there is something artificial about her"

I agree
She's trying way too hard to be something that she's not.

No D, no blasting. I saw him on recent talk show and he looked gaunt, said he'd been getting in shape, but that shouldn't mean skinny. You know, it's a funny thing, on the crazy days and nights site several blind items lately have been about foreign born actor who cheats on his wife now, and his name always appears in the guesses. Would be too bad.

reply

I doubt Colin would ever cheat on his wife but who knows, really?

Getting in shape is fine. But men tend to fill out when they age and I thought he looked perfect before. I am just no fan of super skinny. And weight loss/being too skinny at an older age tends to make people look gaunt versus younger.

There are lots of foreign actors. Anything is possible, but it's not like CF has a reputation for sleeping around. I don't think he did when he was younger.

I hope it's not true. But I don't understand how people can live the life they live. Constantly traveling somewhere, appearing here and there (many of those are paid appearances, of course), always "on". I feel for the wife in that situation--she's as much "on" as her husband. CF is waaay too thin right now imho. He would look much better about 15-20 lbs. heavier. Supposedly lost weight for a series of movies, but should put some of it back on for health reasons. I think past a certain point, it's probably better just to have some work done, like so many before him (inc. Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood), rather than starve oneself. Hope CF's current shape is not health-related.

I saw them a couple of years ago in Hollywood, when he was getting his Walk Of Fame Star, and she was very low-key. She was simple dressed and was in no way, trying to get any attention from the crowd or media. Even when she arrived, she greeted some of the people, who came up to her, very warmly, and sat down. She sat about 6 feet away, in front of where we were standing and beamed when he came out of the Pub, where he was waiting for the introduction. She then, 'filmed' the small ceremony on her cell phone, smiling like a very proud wife. After the ceremony, he came and signed autographs, and was very sweet, then he made his excuses, as they pulled him away to talk to the media. They seemed very relaxed and happy when he brought her over to get pictures after they revealed his star. Anyway, that was my observation... All relationships have their rough spots, but they seem to be very well matched. I hope they continue to be one of the rare marital success stories in this industry that seems to be too tough on so many marriages, and/or relationships... As far as her Eco shop, and 'dress' project, I can only see good coming from it, whether she is following in the footsteps of others or not. Why should it matter? There is too much excess in the entertainment industry, and if someone challenges others to re-purpose their previously worn clothes, good for them. They, along with others, use their celebrity to help make this world a better place, so I say kudos to them...

Just because I'm easily distracted doesn't mean I
