Devils Knot

I was kind of interested in this until I realized Colin is in it with another horrid southern accent, just like Main Street. I will probably watch it, but please casting directors quit putting CF in movies where he needs to do an American accent because his is NOT good. He has such a wonderful voice most of the time.

Although I wouldn't call his Main St. accent 'horrid', it certainly wasn't believable. I agree..he'd sound great reading the dictionary in his normal voice-- and if he's surrounded by a cast of locals the strained accent becomes more evident.

As much as I love and respect Colin, I believe that he has never conquered the American accent, Texan or otherwise. It does make me cringe a bit when I hear him. It would be better if they didn't cast him in these parts or at least concocted a dramatic device as to why he could speak in an English accent.

You can stream this on Netflix now, watched yesterday. The accent isn't so terrible, but among all the 'locals' it's a bit strained. The performances were all pretty good, but the movie ends without really answering the questions the film is about, a bit unsatisfying.
