So... I'm 14.

At 14 I'm half way through the Twin Peaks experience and find it hard to believe that at that time in the show, Sherilyn wasn't every male's Marilyn Monroe. What a beauty! She's aged well too, and by god is she the most attractive female I've ever seen.

Not much more to say but I can't believe how attractive a woman can be, I guess this is my welcoming into the world of women out of my league.

reply

I'm 41.

About "Marilyn Monroe", peoples taste in women differ greatly. Even when MM was alife and kicking, not everybody was her fan, not by a long shot.

About "out of your league", thats not really how this works.

7 years later, "poem", so you should be 48. Are you still a self-righteous prick?

reply

I didn't take Poem's post as self-righteous or mean-spirited. He was just explaining to the 14 year-old poster some realities about attraction & romance: People have different tastes when it comes to beauty and not every male was necessarily wowed by Marilyn Monroe. In the modern day, for instance, a lot of guys find Alicia Vikander ravishing and that's wonderful; she's certainly good-looking, but her stick-like body isn't very alluring IMHO. I find her "meh."

Poem's also right about the concept of someone being "out of your league." The second someone thinks they're better than you, they have proven themselves not worthy of you.

reply

I'm 25.

You really didn't need to be so condescending to a 14 year old sending out a compliment. (POEM)

I'm sure she would be flattered to hear this OP! And noone is out of anyone's league. The moment someone thinks they're better than you, they have proven they are worse then you!

reply

I just thought its funny that I only have to reverse the numbers to get to 14.

Not that I wanted to start a trend for everybody to state their age in this thread.

I think words sometimes seem harsher when they are written than when they are spoken. Your post doesn't sound condescending to me. I think you're right about Marilyn Monroe, too. Not everyone was a fan and some people seemed to despise her, at least according to some of the biographical movies about her.

I'm just expressing my opinion.

You may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas.

And you're not very good at comprehension. He simply wrote some facts about MM and preferences, and then yes, mentioned that "leagues" is a stupid concept.

So you got his message wrong and added nothing.

reply

I hope you find a girl like her. I convinced my girlfriend to get a haircut and some clothes like Audrey Horne. Am I sick *beep* Maybe. Is Sherilyn Fenn smokin'? Hell to the yeahs.
