Dear Cary,
Please, take 3 months out of your schedule, hire a nutritionist, purchase the P90X dvd package, and get back into fighting form. Do you realize that 3 months is literally all it would take for you to go straight back to your Princess Bride body? You're not that overweight, but you are overweight enough for it to be noticeable one screen and in pictures, which is the medium in which you've chosen to make your livelihood as an artist.
So do yourself a favor and get into shape. You'll feel so much better, look like a 30 year old, and I'm sure your family will appreciate you even more for getting healthy. We all want to see you in film in years to come, so please don't let any bad habits you might have keep you from getting roles or staying healthy as you enter middle age.
I know that weight can be something very difficult to control and that millions of people struggle with it, but millions of people also overcome it. A close family member of mine, after being obese his entire life, has recently lost 100 pounds and is very close to a healthy BMI. This family member is in his late 50s. And this was without any sort of surgery or diet pills. It was just from careful eating and persistent exercise.
Weight loss is not something that can be achieved only by people in their 20s and 30s. It can happen any time in your life.
And if you happen to see Bruce Campbell at any event, give him a speech similar to this schpeil, he'll thank you if he ends up following through.
Hope this message finds you well.
p.s.-not a representative for p90x, just a satisfied user.
