Wow people, you have got to be kidding! There are about dozens and dozens of bad actors out there, but Elwes certainly is not one of them. You certainly have not seen his incredibly creepy and effective peformance as Ted Bundy in the tv movie The Riverman. And how about his performance in Kiss The Girls? And for Saw, well I never thought of his performance as a bad one per se. It is certainly the script that guided his performance, but for me it was actually ok. I would freak the *beep* out myself if I would be confronted to this kind of situation, and I'm sure my reactions would be extreme as well, so to say that he was over-the-top for me is unfair. For most of the movie, he was actually rather contained; it was only near the end that he really started to lose it, and damn, if my wife and child were in immediate threath of dying and I could hear them cry without whithout being able to help, I think it's fair to say that I might, like many people, lose it like he did and react in a very extreme way emotionally. And as for his accent, well I have heard much worse. I haven't seen Princess Pride yet, so I'll definitely give it a chance. I am not a die hard fan of Elwes, but I find him quite charismatic and effective most of the times actually.
Bill Foster: I'm the bad guy?...How did that happen?
