looks really frail and old

in Cry Macho

reply

He looks great for his age. At 91, most people look really dead.

reply

Clint has always been old

I consider myself a fan, but it was heartbreaking to see him so frail on screen, he even needed a very obvious stuntman to ride a horse in a non-action scene, I found the scene where he is about to sleep with a much younger woman also unrealistic, do men at that age can even perform?

Should have chosen another project... look for example Anthony Hopkins in The Father, something more along those lines.

reply

To have that much younger woman wanting to sleep with him in this movie was just a pathetic aspect of this all round poor effort ! Christ if Clint can't see how utterly ridiculous this is he should 100% retire from appearing in movie !

reply

You don't think women aren't still throwing themselves at Clint Eastwood?

reply

The problem is, the CHARACTER he was playing wasn't a world famous actor/director who could open doors for a young lady's career. I'm not saying it can't or never happens, but it's much more likely to happen if you've got fame and money.

reply

Sure. Good point. I haven't seen the film but it has to be realistic.

reply

The camera in Cry Mucho charitably turned away whenever he had to rise from a seated position

reply

I actually think he seemed older and frailer in 'the mule'. I think he was a good cast for this movie. The role: And old guy, presumably quite tough and resolute in his younger years but now has to rely more on wits and experience rather than physical strenght to get out of a pinch.

reply

My dad looks like him at 75. So I think Clint looks amazing.

As we age, we lose muscle mass. Doctors and scientist still don't know exactly why.

Quite brave of him. A lot of actors go into hiding, preferring people to remember them in their prime.

🍻Happy birthday Mr. Eastwood! (Thank you, moonstar)

I say a big "good on him" for still acting in movies and giving us a great performance. At 91 I think I'd rather just be sitting in a chair and taking it easy while watching all those movies I never got to see when I was younger, not still working.
