As box office number continue to drop there will be a point when the producers in Hollywood realize that actors that piss off half the country with their divisive statements are part of the problem. The old studio boss in the golden era of film knew this and made sure the stars that worked for their studios presented the right image outside of their screen work. Now the reality is those old Hollywood star probably had just as many deviants and nut jobs as we have today but they didn't put it on parade the way the current idiots in Hollywood do.

This morons don't realize that acting isn't some skill that only a select few have, its fucking make believe and everyone can do it and be taught how to do it good enough to make a movie. Deniro is going to end up like Kathy Griffin and be untouchable if he keeps up airing his ridiculous thoughts... As an uneducated actor he needs to shut up and just do his job.

Yeah when he talks about politics he's an uneducated buffoon. He should shut his trap and just make his movies which is what he's good for.

Acting isn't that hard. There are many good actors with no formal training.

Tomorrow night the SAG Awards are giving this blowhard a LifeTime Achievement award. Guaranteed he’ll go on a political rant. I’ll watch the show, but mute his speech as I just can’t stand Hollywood rants at all.

He WAS a good actor, but like Pacino all his roles seem the same with their new demeanor/attitude/inflection. Not sure how/why that happened but their range is gone.

Guys like De Niro and Pacino have little or no range. They can only play northeastern urban wise guys or psychos.

I don't belive this to be true.

The issue is with both is typecasting and its not just those two but even b list actors from tv shows mention this happens when you do well as a character that is all people will ever see you as.

Regarding his view points etc he has the right to those but when you try pushing them on to others without giving the facts misleading people that is wrong but these celebs know they carry a lot of influence which is why they do it

The worst are the ones that give the big push to veganism and things like that yet they dont even understand the subject and try using extreme cases to put view points across as if that is whats happening all the time which is misleading also most of it is smoke & mirrors they do this because they have an agenda which could be something like owning shares in a meat free company for example (James Cameron is one of these and his buddy Arnold which is why they made the propaganda which was Game Changers not based on one single bit of science)
