He should get an Oscar nod for Chiraq

I haven't seen Chiraq yet. I live in the suburbs of Chicago and it only ran for week, if you can believe that, after a lot of hype. Was it good, or was John just good in it? I admire the person he was portraying, father Phleeger (sp?).

The Academy hasn't been too kind for any of Spike Lee's films and I think it would cause a ruckus if they nominated the white guy in the film. Black people would freak out.
