So I was on a plane from Detroit to LA and I end up next to Cusack.

This is a couple/three years back. I'm flying to LA and I end up sitting next to Cusack, he was actually pretty cool. I told him that I was cool and wouldn't bug him, but he was kind of outgoing and laid back about it. We talked about music and played him a song that my band recorded he said it was "not bad and sorta cool but kind of *beep* heavy" for his tastes. We talked politics and he bought us a few rounds of Jack and coke, on his dime, which was pretty rad, I actually got pretty drunk.

It was cool.

I'm glad to hear he seemed as genuine to you as he does with whatever camera rolling, especially after your history didn't include a slew of reports of personal interactions with various actors........call me skeptical, but some on IMDb do that.

That is actually good to hear because I have always liked his work, and the stories of his interactions with people in my town while he was shooting a movie here were not flattering.

Yeah I don't know, I can't really speak for anyone else's experience, but my experience, a rather short 4 or so hour flight, was cool. Maybe I caught the dude on a good day, maybe some of the people you know caught him on a bad one, it's anyone's guess at this point. Having not really met any other "big time celebrities", I don't really have a frame of reference.

I'm sure it probably didn't hurt that we were downing Jack's and Coke at that point but hey. I basically said "Hey, I'm Nix.", and said something like "Don't worry I'm not going to beg you for an autograph" or something like that. But yeah I really didn't get any kind of dick-ish vibe from him. One thing I can say is that he's not exactly a fan of the government, from what I could surmise.

So that's essentially my whole experience.

That's just how I'd hope John Cusack would be in real life! I can't imagine him being a d!ck at all, he seems way too nice
