Yes. Unfortunately over the years he became quite the egomaniac. His pal Jeremy Piven is actually even worse than Cusack. It's a shame b/c once upon a time he was a nice regular fellow. He should go back and watch Say Anything again and take some cues from Lloyd Dobler.

shareI met the man a few months ago and he was ever so gracious, polite and sincere. He is somewhat eccentric but he was a pleasure to meet and be around.
shareI was at the same event as Cusack awhile back. I've heard rumors, so I watched a few fan interactions before approaching him. I think he gives back what he gets from people.
After being polite didn't work, Cusack had to be a little abrupt with an aggressive fan. Even though Cusack was justified I can see that guy walking away thinking 'What a Ricardo!' It's also safe to say asking him for $2 won't win you any favors.
I approached him like I would any other stranger at an event. 10 minutes later I walked away thinking he was a decent, funny & interesting guy.
