So many flops

This is a very sad thing to say, but is the last time that he was in a film that wan't a complete flop??

And he isn't even starring in them anymore! He is not considered to be a draw anymore, the actor that gets the butts in the seats. He turning into a character actor and not a very good one at that!

I haven't even bothered to go to a film of his since Cinderella Man

Don't get me wrong...I think he's a great actor, but all of his choices recenlty have been terrible. The films themselves flopped and deservedly so.

I can't see this Noah being any differnt (besides, I think it's a ridiculous story to film).

I just wish he would get the scripts the caliber of The Insider and LA Confidential again. ALas, I don't think he will. I think he's as something of a "has been" in Hollywood, which is a great pity for someone with his talent.

I do hope I'm wrong.

my dear. I think Rusty likes the roles he plays. It is totally other direction. I like it. Unfortunely not your choise of movies. Maybe in de the future he will play an action movie. He can play all kind of roles.

I don't even look at box office returns...I've been to plenty of films that did not do that well at the box office that I loved.

I have a small handful of reviewers that I read regularly..they have great insights and similar tastes to my own (actually not a big fan of action movies and the only fantasy film I love is The Lord of the Rings [also a HUGE fan of the books]). I trust their instincts. So far, while some the reviewers said his performances were fine (only fine, not particularly outstanding) but that the films themselves were not worth seeing. Poorly written, badly filmed, etc.

With limited funds to spend on movies, I don't like wasting my money on something that's not that great.

Rusty has always been a great character actor, but two items have hurt his career. Wanting too much money for Wolverine and pissing off George Clooney, however his talent is undeniable.

As for his films being flops, a don't buy that. 3:10 to Yuma was a vast improvement of the 1957 original and The Next Three Days could have been a classic suspense/thriller if Paul Haggis figured out what editing meant.
