The guy is bit bad tempered, so what?

I just can't understand why people make so big fuss about Crowe being bad tempered sometimes. Calling him an a-hole and douchebag an so on. Crowe seems to be serious man who can tolerate bull only that much and then he explodes. But I guess when you're celebrity you have no right to get angry. The thing with Rebel Wilson. I have exploded quite similiarily myself by telling the person to f off. Some people can control their anger better than the others.

He doesn't care for people bothering him or idiots hurting his friends. These are understandable reactions.

Often when interviewed, he's quite funny making jokes at his own expense. In 2000, at a pre-Oscar "Gladiator" screening for a bunch of just regular movie going folks, he spoke to us for about an hour, and could not have been
any wittier or charming. He truly amazed us. :)

Because his actions are like that of a child with ADD. Adults should be more mature and composed. It doesn't mean he has to take crap, but let's be honest, he really is a douche. But a great actor. He's gotta learn how to control himself.

"a great actor" when has he ever acted ???

reply

The guy has constantly given phenomenal performances in nearly all the movies he's in. In fact it is more rare when he gives an average or okay performance.

reply

Your definition of acting is flawed, Crowe is nothing more than a statue, no expression at all, he fails completely

reply

I agree

reply

I think L.A. Confidential, A Beautiful Mind, Cinderella Man, and The Loudest Voice are all great examples of versatility and range.

reply

Not gladiator ?

reply

I was thinking of putting Gladiator in the movie, but to be honest I do not think it is his best. Maybe I am being to hard on it as I have not seen it in a long time.

reply

I think he did way better in gladiator them Cinderella man

reply

Perhaps. I mostly remember Joaquin Phoenix's role as he was very entertaining, but way over the top. Although, Crowe is a solid actor so I'll try and give Gladiator another shot, after all it did win for picture and Crowe did win for actor.

reply

I kind of agree with you since you mentioned Phoenix. Who went on a different thing . Great duo in gladiator

reply

Phoenix was better but Crowe was still great

reply

Douchebag ... that is not a bad word.

This is a man who physically assaulted a hotel employee and a producer at the BAFTAs. He also verbally abused an airline flight attendant because they didn't have the food he wanted. He is nothing but a bully. There are a lot of actors who don't take crap from someone but they don't result to physical or verbal abuse.

reply

Yes, and the thing is, he also happens to play douchebags in film too.

His character in La Confidential was so unlikable and totally despicable. He also wasn't that likable A Beautiful Mind, at least in the first hour.

I heard someone being interviewed on Australian radio once (can't remember who it was) talking about being on a film set where Crowe was playing some role, and in the middle of one of his scenes the director yelled "cut", then Crowe screamed out "DON'T YOU EVER YELL CUT WHILE I'M ACTING!".

Douchebag confirmed.

Star Wars is like pizza, even when it's bad it's still pretty good.
