That's all well and good. But it's funny. He just struck me more of a centrist/moderate Republican kind of guy.

Apparently he was a Republican until the early 90s and then had a change of heart. He's also a big Pete Buttigieg fan, which might also surprise you.

It does. Mayor Pete has done exactly nothing to merit anywhere near such a job. I would hope Costner had more common sense than that. And Mayor Pete confirmed it with his ludicrous gas tax idea.

Holy shit, you're right. Costner didn't strike me as the insecure narcissistic actor type that would sell out just to get jobs in Hollywood, but apparently he is.
