No one ever mentions his key role in The Big Chill.

I don’t know....his acting in The Big Chill seemed a bit stiff and non-spontaneous to me. Very one dimensional.

Nonetheless his role carried the film. Without Alex the movie just would not have been the same.

You are 100% right....he brought them together from the start.
