Connery should be the new 'M'

Not to take anything away from Judy Dench and her performance as "M". She is a brilliant actress. But something interesting came to mind and that is the idea of Sean Connery playing retired 007 in the new position as "M". If you accept the idea that James Bond was not his actual name but his job "title", then this idea could work. IT makes sense if you take into account all of the different actors that have played James Bond, and "M", "Q", and "Felix". It could make perfect sense for the series, that these are not names but titles and that there have been several different "Agents" in these positions. It's something to concider. The only problem (I'm sure there are many) is Connery coming out of retirement and reconciling his differences with the Jame Bond franchise. I'd love to see Sean Connery as "M".

Good thinking!! That would be awesome!!

What, have Craig's Bond report to a care home or something? Connery is over 80 and retired the last 10 years.

I guess he never did cameos (after he was Bond) because of contract negotiation problems? Or he didn't get offered or want to do any?

Cameos with whom? As who?

There was little love lost between him and the Bond producers. His return in NSNA in 1983 was with a rival group of film-makers, and it's said he did it to sock it to Cubby Broccoli. Who would he cameo as? The last thing the producers would want is for him to pop up and undermine Roger Moore in one of his films.

That said, some say he was offered the role of M in GoldenEye, Brosnan's first Bond, but he wanted £1m or something, so he got turned down. But that's just hearsay. Dench did okay!

I would like to see Michael Emerson (Person of Interest)play a Bond villain.I see he and Conney worked together on a movie once.

Emerson as a Bond villain is very tempting idea, indeed.

Another is Terry O'Quinn (John Locke of Lost). His character was many dimensional in Lost and his bad side was second to none. He was also good in Hawaii Five-0 as a character of mystery.

I met Michael in a drug store in NYC 2 yrs ago this month, less then 1/2 an hr before I met Zach Levi (CHUCK)
