When you cast an actor to play a character he must at least look a bit like the character. I personally like Craig, but he's blond, and very pale. Connery was tanned and had black hair. They looook so different from each other it's crazy. By the way, does he have any Spanish or Mediterranean heritage ? His skin tone doesn't look very Scottish.

The difference is that Connery knew his character was full of sh.1t, a mere caricature, and it seems part of him was always a little embarrassed about it. (At least that's how I interpreted some interviews I heard many years ago). Craig's character is more vulnerable, tortured and respectful of women, consonant with the more enlightened age in which we live. Who cares whether the character is brunet or blond as long as he's not insufferable?

She looks more Hispanic (Latin-American) than Spanish IMO. And interestingly, like Connery, she is also of Irish descent (like many Welsh people).

The last 007 film I saw in the movies was DAD saw the DVD of CR06 and hated it and DC (funny he has the same initials as the comic bk company as does Dean Cain who played Superman on LOIS & CLARK
Now we have the MAN form UNCLE movie with 2 tall guys playing the agents.
1 played Superman, the other the LONG RANGER
While the guys who played them on TV were little guys, now we have a little guy playing 007, while back in TMFU days we had a tall guy playing 007.
