Top 5 underrated movies

Excluding the Scream movies, what would you consider to be Neve's top 5 most underrated movies? My selection are:

1) Drowning Mona: This movie is severely underrated. I watched it again recently and my god! I don't think I've seen a movie with such dark and dry humour....but it works so well for it. It doesn't rely on over the top gag humour to be funny. Most comedies these days rely on swearing, sex, drugs and nudity to be funny (which, most of the time, is just lame), but not this movie. It has a certain wit to it that I feel a lot of people missed. It's also a shame that this movie hasn't even really garnered a cult following. Given its truly talented cast, this movie deserves to be more well known- and respected.

2) Three to Tango: while this movie is more well known than number 1, I still feel it gets forgotten by people when they reflect on rom coms of the 90's. Yes, it's just another movie for Matthew Perry to play Chandler, but there's a bitter sweetness to this film. It also tackled a topic (being gay) which wasn't so evident amongst rom coms at that time. It's loud, quirky, and has a Friends-esque feeling to it, and (in my opinion) has a good rewatchability to it. One major positive that the film has is the chemistry between Matt and Neve. They work well together. Also, it helps that Neve looks absolutely bangin in this movie. You can tell Hollywood was glamming her up to be the IT girl...and it worked for her in this. Such a stunner.

3) Blind Horizon: This movie is not without its flaws, don't get me wrong, but I find it to be a neat little thriller. It has a very monotone feeling to it, but it works for it. It also has a slick style to it. The cast does well with what they are given, and Neve rocks the bob haircut. The movie also gives Neve the chance to play a different role to her previous movies...and it's the type of role I'd like to see her do more.

4) Closing the Ring: Directed by Richard Attenborough, this movie has a stellar cast that tells a love story that bounces between the 'present' and the past. You'd think this movie would have got a bigger reception and more acclaimed reviews, but again it flew under the radar, being missed by many. Sure, it's not the perfect movie, but it tells a sweet story and certainly has some great actors portraying some interesting roles.

5) I really hate my job: Honestly, if Neve wasn't in this movie, I would never have watched it. But, I never understood the hatred for this movie. There's nothing to really hate about this movie, but at the same time, there's nothing to truly love about it. The thing I enjoyed most was the chemistry between the actresses. The sharp dialogue bounces well between them and we get a good insight into the lives of these characters. Neve has the best moment where she has a very public breakdown in the middle of the restaurant. Doesn't deserve the hate it gets. I also feel there would be a lot of people out there who could relate to at least one of these characters, but I'm sure it will continue to go unnoticed.

She's really great in When Will I Be Loved, which is an amazing film (if you're into Toback, which I am). Also, WILD THINGS is the most fun, soapy and debaucherous film of Neve's! And of most films I guess haha. Also, The Craft is a classic.

Oh, & obviously The Company is a beautiful project. She does an amazing job in it. To work with Altman, Toback, Caven, etc, I really hoped Neve's career had gone in a better direction... Now with Wes gone, Scream 5 will never be made, which is a travesty, and Neve seems to be stepping back from working. House of Cards is ok, but a pointless role for her. Siighhh.

It's not really a pointless role. Her characters arc kinda faded halfway through, but I feel they'll wrap it up in season 5.
If anything, being on House of Cards has put her more back into the mainstream light.
She has admitted that she kind of left her US status in limbo. She is now actively trying to re-surface on the scene, whilst still making being a mother her number 1 priority.
I loved her on HoC.....and she looked bangin too.

Funny thing, my Pops used to watch the AMC show Mad Men a lot, but there was one certain episode I saw Neve in, and I was shocked to see her in it. It was a 2014 episode where Jon Hamm is on an airplane and he has a friendly conversation with Neve sitting next to her. She was pretty good in that small role. I wish she was in the series more, that'd probably give me a bigger excuse to watch the show more often. 😜

It sucks that I can't afford Netflix to watch House of Cards on a daily basis (but I'll try to in the future), cause I'd like to watch it with her in it now.

Outside of Scream, the craft is the only movie I know for her
