Best "Technical" Director in movie Histoy...


maybe he is a bad Write but u cant Deny his movies has the best Cinematography in movie History...everything from lighting and Casting to Camera work and movements and the Color and felt of his movies,the most beautiful night lightings and best visual effects...he is just pure Class...even better than Spielberg

Indeed, the cinematography is excellent, but it's not "the greatest in movie history." Cameron is exceeded in this area by David Lean (and probably others), and he says so himself. He said in an interview that his goal was to rise to the level of David Lean but that so far he had failed to do so but he thought that "failing at a higher level" was a good thing and maybe he would one day approach Lean's mastery.

personally I think there are others who are as good or maybe just maybe slightly better than Cameron as far as technical (Lean, Spielberg, Fincher, Zhang Yimou, Kubrick, etc etc). But the combo of tech along with his skill at writing screenplays with superb structure is unparalleled. Too bad his dialog is often not up to par :)
