He'd probably get asked to direct Star Wars VIII and that would give him 3 films that are top 3 billions grossing movies.

Yes, if he were to direct Star Wars VIII, it would grossed more than VII.

Don't tell me James Cameron would say no to Star Wars. The only problem with that would be, it would take seven years between VII and VIII to finish up.

Cameron would be a great choice for Star Wars. A New Hope was, after all, the reason he quit his job as a truck driver.

He was already asked and turned the sequels down because he wanted to focus on Avatar sequels.
