He makes every movie he's in better

Not every movie he's been in has been good, but I think all of his movies are better than they otherwise would have been without him.

reply

i agree. he always makes movies better. there's just something about him that stands out, he has charisma, that's what it is. also, he's almost always lovable. the only time he's not is when he's playing a bad guy.

reply

He was still lovable as an invisible rapist, there's something about him can't put my finger on it.

reply

it's that he is lovable in everything he's in as a good guy character. steve guttenberg also has this. nice guy charms and relatability.

reply

It's his eyes. He has a very intense gaze. I don't know how this works when he's invisible.

reply

Anything I've ever seen him in he steals the show, I end up rooting for him no matter who he's playing a hero or villain there's something about it.

reply

exactly. he's always been one of my all-time favorite actors since i was about 10 years old back in 1988, ever since i saw him in parts of footloose. maybe it's affable charms. he's charismatic and has a lot of screen presence. i think those are 2 things that make him likable. also, he's a great actor.

reply

Especially Quicksilver (1986)!

reply

My vote is for stir of echoes.

reply

He can always fall back on that cocksure grin, and I mean that in a good way. Yes, there is something about him that is very watchable.

reply

His last name is BACON!

reply

I don’t think he made that shitty cult show any more watchable.

reply

I thought his performance in Mystic River was by far the most impressive yet the other two leads (Penn and Robbins) ended up winning Oscars 🤷🏻‍♂️

reply

I agree, he's simply very watchable.
