Next role for US audience...

Just on america they really took while to warm to rowan aktinson. England adores aktinson, Australia loves aktinson, but america from what I read in his biography just did'nt seem to get the joke. The first Mr Bean movie was made as an amercian version set for an American audince personally I thought it was trash but it was a big hit at the Box office. But the movie sold it self out and did'nt have the brillance that the Tv program had. Personally I just don't think that was the only problem with the movie, I also don't think Mr Bean is suited for the Big screen. Why Rowan Aktinson has'nt set hollywood alight like Dudley Moore, Peter Sellers and to some extent John Cleese beats me. Maybe it's because the Amercians don't know what funny is, Although they seemed to love his stage show filmed in Boston, so maybe they do?
