His interviews are painful to listen to. I guess he chose the right profession, having someone else decide for him what to say is the best way for him.

I agree. Some actors sound pretty articulate - while Brad Pitt.... like you said, based on his interviews, it's fair to conclude that he chose the right profession.

I just saw him on a Property Brothers show on HGTV, helping renovate a building for a friend of his. He seemed perfectly articulate and intelligent.

It's edited. Anyone can seem articulate.

Yeah, they probably just push him out in front of the camera and shock him with a cattle prod, causing him to make sounds, which they edit to simulate English conversation.
