Accused of transphobia after joking about identifying as a 'Cambodian police woman' in tweets supporting JK Rowling

Outrage after mocking identity politics. Doesn't give a fuck about trannies.

Monty Python star John Cleese is accused of transphobia after joking about identifying as a 'Cambodian police woman' in series of tweets supporting author JK Rowling

John Cleese has been accused of transphobia after joking that he would like to be a Cambodian police woman in a series of tweets defending Harry Potter author JK Rowling.

The British comedian, 81, issued numerous rebukes to fellow Twitter users on Sunday after one reposted a September 30 tweet from Cleese in support of Rowling, 55, who has been repeatedly accused of transphobia.

The September post read: 'Dear Twits, I have added my name to the signatories of the letter in solidarity with JK Rowling,' before listing a number of other famous names who had signed the letter including the authors Ian McEwan and Lionel Shriver.

On Sunday, a user shared a screenshot of the message, asking Cleese 'Why the f**k can't you just let people be who they want to be?

reply

Cleese and Rowling are right, all this "identify as ____" crap is bullshit. People identify as things they are not all the time, idiots identify as geniuses, assholes identify as sexually desirable, Trump voters identify as people with a clue.

So while I absolutely support the right of Transpeople to live how they want, dress how they want, use what names they want, this attempt to enlarge transism into a general philosophy of identity has become absolutely ridiculous. Human beings don't give a shit what other human beings identify as, because anyone with a grain of sense knows that everyone identifies as something they aren't. If we're nice to other people we play along with their delusions and if we aren't we call them on their shit, and well, it's time to call everyone on this "I identify as" crap because it's bullshit.

reply

you're clueless!

reply

Nope.

reply

100% Just look at the blob you put in the White House.

reply

MAGA

reply

Personally, I think transgender people are sick in the head.

reply

You must have really been angry when you saw what Harry Stylez was wearing, LoL

reply

he looked like a confused nerd 11 year old letting his older sister's friends dress him up on a sleepover

reply

Don’t lie, you thought he was hot didn’t you.

reply

not gay broseph

reply

Oh right, gay thoughts can’t catch you. Keep running.

reply

i think you're gay, therefore i have thought of something gay,
standing still, proud & loud

reply

You know how I know you’re gay? You think I’m gay.

reply

if i were gay, i'd be hitting on you since you're extremely gay,
but since i have not made a pass at you (because you are a man & gay), it means i am very far from gay... essentially "not gay"

reply

To say you’re not gay you were the first to bring up being gay, and instinctively claimed to not be gay despite no one asking. Which seems VERY gay.

reply

your tone was an implication that you were conversing with a homosexual,
i had to check you & refute your dubious claim before you had time to state it in text,
but i am not offended by your being gay, nor by the fact that you are extraordinarily gay,
live your life as you wish, your extreme gayness will not affect me nor will it "turn me gay" as you would like

reply

Buddy you are already gay, or at least extremely in the closet. You imagining I was accusing you of being homosexual is the burning proof in your loins. Anyone who has to claim to not be gay, despite no one asking, is clearly uncomfortable with their sexuality or hiding from it. Come out already. I mean, you didn’t even hesitate to claim you weren’t gay, insecure much?

reply

that's the 1st thing i learned at conversion camp,
jealous people will accuse you of being gay just after talking with you for maybe 5 minutes,
i will not concede to it,
i said i was fine with you being gay & even if you were living in the same town as me i wouldn't say no to inviting you to hang out with my other 2 friends playing videogames & despite me always taking off my shirt & shoes (socks) when i play CoD it's totally cool, most guys in the war always had their shirts off once they got back to basecamp or their downtime between battles, so it fits

reply

You’re sounding about as straight as Tom Cruise right now

reply

Hey, if you don't take your shirt off when you're playing video games, what are you trying to hide?

reply

You are embarrassing yourself ‘broseph’.

reply

at least my username isn't effeminate & gay... Jinx

reply

I'm a girl dumbass

reply

I know you're gay, Bitch! New user too.

reply

Can’t we all just get along? Like in a steam room wearing barely covering towels??

Yes, that would be grand.

reply

You would like that wouldn’t ya

reply

It’s fun to stay at the YMCA

reply

I love you lol

reply

Back at you Jinx 😘

reply

Dresses are anything but hairy styles.

reply

They don't accept their own body so yes, it's a psychological problem. And everyone knows you treat a psychological problem by repairing a sane body ! Transgenders are an aberration.

reply

Whoah hang on there, you got the definition wrong. Transgenderism is different from transsexualism.

reply

You are right. I do confound both terms. I never know which is which.

reply

The Gender Cultists don't know either. They've lumped everything under Transgender. Cross dressing is usually a fetish. Tom Boys (girls with masculine interests or traits) are included whether they like it or not! Guys who turn into gals usually identify as female as children, but there are all sorts of other reasons that they regret later.

reply

They are. If you saw a person on the street that was barking like a dog and trying to hump someones leg you wouldn't think twice about calling him mentally ill, but for some reason the simple logic of people being what they are gender wise seems to escape some people. If you are born with a dick then like it or not you are man... born with a vagina and you are a woman whether you want to be or not. Now you might have the equipment altered, you might take hormones to change your appearance... but the reality is you cannot escape what you were born any more than a person on the street barking like a dog and humping legs is going to change from a human to a dog.

Of course the reality is as long as the ridiculous liberals want to live by this bullshit, I will continue to tell anyone that wants to apply to an Ivy League university to make sure and tell them you are a black woman, doesn't matter if you were born an Asian male, you should tell them you identify as a black woman and it will greatly increase your chances of acceptance, and if they say anything about that just remind them that they accept trannies for what they claim to be rather than what they actually are so they can't discriminate against you just because you identify as a black woman.

I heard the whole thing here:

I don't think it's really fair, the treatment either of them are getting. Twitter sucks.

NY Post article is shorter and less biased, but Google "didn't find it" this morning.
John Cleese accused of being transphobic while defending J.K. Rowling
https://nypost.com/2020/11/22/john-cleese-accused-of-transphobia-for-defending-j-k-rowling/

Comedy legend John Cleese has been accused of being transphobic after a flurry of tweets Sunday in support of “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling — admitting that he was “not that interested” in transgender rights.

The 81-year-old “Monty Python” star was attacked while sparring online with followers angered by his decision to sign a letter of support for Rowling amid the huge backlash over her views on transgender issues.

“Deep down, I want to be a Cambodian police woman. Is that allowed, or am I being unrealistic?” he replied to someone who asked why he couldn’t “just let people be who they want to be.”

Challenged whether he accepted that Rowling made “some rather indelicate statements regarding those people who identify differently,” Cleese quipped, “That depends who I identify with today…”

“I’m afraid I’m not that interested in trans folks,” he admitted when pressed to “be upfront” about his views on Rowling’s controversy.

The exchanges left Cleese repeatedly damned as transphobic while trending on Twitter.

“Damn. Really wasn’t expecting someone as talented and amazing as John Cleese to be anti-trans,” author Adam Tierney wrote with a sad-face emoji.

“Dude … John Cleese being Transphobic was not something I saw coming and I am thoroughly disappointed by it,” one follower wrote, while trans author Lilah Sturges said he was “transphobic in a way that attempts and fails to be funny.”

“This is an ex-comedian,” Sturges wrote.

reply

He absolutely hates Donald Trump’s guts too. I wonder how that sits with all the conservatives championing him as a beacon of free speech 🤔

Best not to mention it I suppose.

reply

Unlike the lockstep Democrats, conservatives can support someone being right about something even if they're not in agreement about something else.

reply

It's not our fault that your mother takes up the ass

reply

Good for Cleese! I'll be sure to watch whatever projects he does. More people need to confront this trans lunacy.

reply

Transphobic jerk.
