Mad mad mad World , Dr Jekyl& Mr Hyde and Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner

The old titles that I recognized all co-starred Katherine Hepburn. "Guess ..." also had KH in the cast. Almost wish it didn't as they became sort of a package deal. Might have been more fun to have the befuddled Spencer playing off his Father Of The Bride co-star Joan Bennett. I love Hepburn, but there is a ton of material that features them both.

They probably looked over a lot of offers together. They were a couple in real life.
Since he was Catholic, he refused to divorce his wife even though he had left her. So he could never marry Hepburn.

Inherit The Wind
Pat & Mike
Judgment At Nuremberg
(with Captains Courageous running a close 4th.)

Inherit The Wind is a great film all the way around. Nuremberg is a great historical drama as well, but there are so many other great stars Tracy is just part of the cast, hiding behind big black glasses.

So many great performances to choose from!!! Father of the Bride, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Judgment at Nuremburg, and runner-up , Adam's Rib.

Fury
Father of the Bride
The Last Hurrah

I thought Bad Day At Black Rock was a good one. It's a little like High Noon or 12 Angry Men in that ST is a regular guy trying to address a bad situation and doesn't have much support. I only have seen it once, not that long ago, but it was a lot different than I imagined.

Having just seen his superb performance in The Last Hurrah, this has knocked his wonderful comic work in Libeled Lady out of my top three.

So hard to pick favourites from this brilliant actor!
