"Marnie."

ooooo, Denis-38, Marnie is a good one....but maybe too disturbing for her?

I would have liked to see her as Madeline/Judy in Vertigo. Kim Novak was great in that part, but I think Marilyn would have been interesting....if Hitchcock would've given her a chance. I know she wasn't his cup of tea...but if she was able to leave the sexy mannerisms behind....who knows.

The Mom in "The Excorcist"!

I agree with Mrs. Robinson in "The Graduate".

Nurse Ratchet in "One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest"

"Who is afraid of Virginia Woolf"
(And no, I do not think Liz was bad in it. Not at all.)

MM would have made an excellent Catherine in "Suddenly Last Summer." The character was supposed to be neurotic and traumatized. Liz T. was brilliant, but way too strong and powerful. Think of MM in "Don't Bother to Knock."

And yes, "Tiffany's" would have been great for her. To think it was Lee and Paula who talked her out of pursuing it! (It was "not serious" for her to play a call girl. Yet, when Lee thought he'd have the chance to direct MM in "Rain" for TV, he was all aboard, tho that character was an out and out prostitute. NBC did not want Strasberg, and Marilyn forfeited a $100,000 paycheck--enormous for a television production--to soothe Lee's fragile ego.)
