Crazy Alfred Hitchcock Fan-Theory!

There is a theory regarding the fact Alfred Hitchcock makes an appearance in every movie he ever directed.

The theory is that he plays the same character in all these films. You'll notice that Hitchcock always appears in mostly murder mysteries and spy movies...

That's right. This theory states that his character is an ex-government assassin who became so good at killing and it had such a mental impact on him that he became obsessed with it as a result of doing it for so long, thusly becoming a serial killer.

There's compelling evidence. He always appears at a pivotal moment in the murder or spy event, if not before it happens. Let's break down some of the major ones
Rope: Walking in the opposite direction of the apartment building, just before David was murdered in it
Rear Window: In the building of one of the apartment residents, who lives not too far from where the murderer lives, has a mysterious visitor a few minutes before James Stewart's character begins to notice the murderer acting suspicious
Psycho: Standing outside the bank when Marion walks in, just before she gets the money which causes her to run away as fast as she can to Bates' Motel

So the theory states all these moments he was actually manipulating these moments to happen or was somehow involved in it. Okay, obsession with murder and thus murdering as an accomplice to all these incidents makes sense since he was never that far from one and being a former government spy assassin would both explain why he went crazy and did this as well as how he never gets caught, which is that he's so well trained his acts are undetectable.

But what in the theory proves he was a military assassin at all?
His early appearances were in spy movies, such as The 39 steps and the aptly named Secret Agent, and even some later ones where he might have come out of retirement like North By Northwest although these later spy movies show how perfect his murders were as the government would never have rehired him if he was caught and they knew as he'd be deemed too mentally unstable to do this.

Now some movies he clearly isn't up to anything, such as The Pleasure Garden and The Farmer's Wife. But these don't contradict the theory, these show him when he's not currently involved in a murder and he just happens to be there when that is going on, or his early efforts to move on from being an assassin which would ultimately fail.

What do you guys think of this theory? Do you think it's god a shred of proof to it? Do you think it's more ridiculous than the plot of Psycho III?
