RIP Natalie Wood. Your rapist is finally dead.

WHAT THE FUCK?

reply

What?

reply

The story is that a good percentage of people in Hollywood (at least the old guard) believe it was Douglas who raped young Natalie Wood.

The only facts known are that Wood was indeed violently raped by a big Hollywood star, and the *rumors* say it was Douglas.

I've read that sometime after Douglas died, some information would come to light about the whole rumor thing. I guess we'll find out one way or the other in the near future.

reply

Wow I never hear that. So Douglas had "Wood"...……...

Now if robert Wagner and that one bugged eyed fucker would only die...poor Natalie Wood could RIP

reply

If Wagner knew what happened to Natalie, he never said. It seems like she never caught a break.

reply

I think wagner killed her and I think Christopher walken is covering for him. Fuck them both.

reply

103. Good run.

reply

One of the last stars of the golden age... It seemed like he would go on forever but 103 is quite an age. R.I.P.

reply

Have to watch (Champion) tonight.

Almost caught Man Without A Star the other day. Ran into it a few years ago and really enjoyed it.

I was trying to find a later film where he plays a man on horseback during the automobile era, an older guy doing things his way one last time, but I don't see it in his filmography. Maybe I have the wrong actor but I could have sworn it was Kirk.

Edit: Maybe it's Lonely Are The Brave. I thought it was later in his career, and maybe I only saw the last half.

reply

I'd bet it's (Lonely are the Brave). I generally turn it off before the end. Hard to watch.

reply

THERE WAS A CROOKED MAN...MY FAV KIRK FLICK.

reply

One of the very best actors of all time. RIP

reply

RIP. He was a great actor and had an excellent career.

reply

103 years is a hell of a milestone. He was one of the last actors of his kind still living. RIP.

reply

Yep - now that Douglas is gone, Olivia de Havilland is (I believe) the only true superstar leading actor of that era still with us.

There are a few others (Lansbury, Ann Blyth, Terry Moore, Norman Lloyd etc.) but none of them were Golden Age stars of the same magnitude.
