101 year old accused rapist rolls on to the stage and says...

Wah hah shah rah gah hah fah...

But seriously...did no one Google his shit before male shame night at the globes?

reply

America. Guilty by accusation. Guilty before proven guilty. Gotta love America. Home of the extortion artists.

reply

Exactly. The description of Natalie's rapist fits Douglas to a "T", but in fairness, there were other actors of the era who could also fit the description. I just wish the facts of the attack would be known and the scum's legacy spoiled forever.

reply

Except all those "other actors of the era" have died already...Kirk hasn't. According to Wood's family, the reason the rapist hasn't been named yet is because he's still alive and to do so would most likely result in their being sued.

reply

And that adds even more circumstantial evidence that Douglas is the scum, but it's still circumstantial. I've seen enough Westerns to know the innocent often got hanged with what looked like convincing evidence :)

I wish that IF it was Douglas that raped Wood, he would be outed *before* he croaked. OTOH, if given such a wish, I would gladly trade it to one where I would have been outside the hotel room door with a 34oz baseball bat. The only news story we would know regarding Wood and Douglas was that that Douglass (or whoever the rapist was) was beaten half to death outside Wood's door by a large black man with a Louisville Slugger.

reply

Lol.

reply

Cant agree more.
Specially if your a male.
If your otherwise, it’s the land of opportunity.

reply

I was surprised at how godawful his acting reel looked.

reply

I'm really surprised some actress didn't sit silently in her seat instead of applauding. She could have looked like the one honest person present and gotten a shit-ton of free publicity, without saying one word!

Really, have they all forgotten how to pull a publicity stunt?

reply

I know what you mean. Every time I see Ed Harris and Amy Madigan in anything I still remember how they refused to stand and applaud when Elia Kazan got his "tribute" award at the Oscars. Kazan as a filmmaker made some great works, but as a man his integrity was worthless.

But I don't think the reasons this was done by Harris and Madigan had anything to do with getting some free publicity, nor do I think that would have been the reason, either, if some actresses had chosen not to stand when Douglas was wheeled onto the stage. Unfortunately, none did.

reply

Kurt Russel stood and clapped.

reply

"Accused" is the key word, and it's based on unprovable speculation.
