R.I.P. to a classy and great Hollywood star.

I always found it so ironic that her 'Melanie' was the only major character to die in GWTW. But the actress outlived her co-stars by many decades.

Very sad, but an unbelievably full and wonderful life lived. She might be the last truly big time star from Hollywood’s golden age. Such a fascinating era!

And as sad as it is, at least she went before the morons of today’s generation started calling her a racist for starring in Gone With The Wind and started trying to “cancel” a 104 year old woman.

One of my favorites. Gone with the Wind, The Heiress, and Light in the Piazza are a few of her best. I'm watching To Each His Own now. 1916-2020.
