James Cagney

Cagney, because he was more versatile in the kinds of roles that worked for him, but I loved Edward G.'s final performance in Soylent Green.

Robinson. I think he had a quieter presence and greater range whilst Cagney always seems to be fighting to contain his energy. But I'd happily watch either.

i loved robinson. he never got an oscar nomination.
