Ingrid's Height

Ingrid's official height was 5'9" It may have been just a little more. Ingrid disparaged her height in "My Story." However, if one watches her pictures, one never sees her legs and rarely sees her full height. But if one reflects on her figure, one sees that she is also very short-waisted. Her long legs were exposed to the world around August, 1960 when an Italian paparrazzi photographed her in a swimming suit (lovely legs)at her Italian villa. I finally figured out why she (and her directors and cameramen) hid her legs and her gait. Because Ingrid was totally dedicated to her dramatic performances, and unusually long legs are a distraction from the performance - like being a left-handed violin player. So she dedicated her life to hiding her legs.
