What a tightwad

Her estate is $26 million divided among her kids and she only leaves $15,000 to her maid of 14 years. What a tight ass

reply

It was her money, and she was free to do whatever she wanted to do with it. Plus, one shouldn't expect a maid to be remembered in his or her own will. The Maid should be grateful she got some money. Many other people don't leave their own Maids a single dime.

In fact, her maid just said recently that she is happy with what she was left with. So she is not complaining at all about it.

are you kidding me? If it was you, I think you would be singing a different tune.

maid was probably paid well with excellent benefits..

Lauren Bacall was singled out as a champion tightwad by Travel Holiday magazine.

It reported that she once "chewed out a waiter for not serving her the fava beans she requested with her fish dinner."

I don't get it. That doesn't make her a tightwad, only a b1tch unless she didn't leave him a tip.

Leaving her maid only $15,000 out of $26 million is so CHEAP! That shows very little appreciation to a woman who has served her for years and years. If I were that maid I'd be mad as hell.

Only 15000???? If you don't appreciate that you can give me taht money

Who releases information like this, anyway?
I was raised (and still adhere to) that a person never discusses money or religion, unless that is the topic that is put forth for a conversation.
What someone does with their own money is never another person's concern.
Period.

reply

Just because you were raised that way doesn't make it particularly valid. In the cultures of roughly half the people on the planet, how much you earn and what your religion is are both entirely routine parts of a conversation with new acquaintances.
