What was the deal with "The Eye"?

Was he working for D3? Was he a mutant? What did he want with Carey? And why did the SK kill him?

He was working for D3 and he was a mutant. But I have no idea why he was after Kerry. I think SK what using him for something (what?) and after he stopped being useful just killed him. But from what I remember SK and him had some sort of history together, so that might have something to do with it. But I might be wrong.

On a side note, I had taken to calling him Sylver Eye, and every time he appeared on screen I'd sing to myself 'Sylver Eye' to the tune of Goldeneye (the Tina Turner song). It's weird... I think David's crazy might be catching lol

Thanks, and you may be right about David's crazy. I'm feeling a little nutso myself these days. 😜

At least we're in good company :)

I didn't get why he was after Kerry like that either, but I came to the same conclusion as you. That SK was influencing him or directing him somehow to stand in their way. Like you also pointed out, he and SK seem to have already crossed paths somewhere along the line. I thought maybe she/it/he was inside of him before David...and then I remember that Oliver and Cary were already familiar with him (DYE, Farouk, whatever the hell you want to call that thing) before all this went down and wondered if they all encountered him at the same time, in some other epic fight or whatever. It all just gets more curious!

And yes, I think David's crazy is definitely catching, hahaha...this show makes us as unstable as he is 😋 at least, maybe, we'll get some cool powers out of it.

If they all encountered him at the same time, that'd mean Kerry also was around. Maybe there's something there then to explain why The Eye was after her. I also thought that SK was in The Eye at some point, or tried at least to get inside him, but failed. To my understanding he/it/she was able to get in David because he was a baby, so not a big chanse for resistance there. I hope we get an explanation somewhere down the line.

After seeing what David's powers have done to him, I think I'll pass on those for now :D

That's true, Kerry would've been around. At first, in Ch. 6 I thought he was purposefully goading her to get her kickass abilities to come out so they could make some head way in getting out of there, but that's when I thought there was a chance they had a common enemy.

Although, they could've and he really had no control over his actions. I'd like some explanations too, but we have bigger fish to fry for the finale, though it's all those little things that are adding up that we're unclear about that are starting to nag at me! That makes me think they'll handle those in one fell swoop with a more sweeping revelation, but then again, who the hell knows with Legion?!

Well, true. If anything has shown us what a bitch powers could be, it's this show!

I'm hoping they don't pull a 'Lost' on us. Though I doubt it, since Legion is more planned out so far. All I want to know is what's up with those missing feet! That's all lol

reply

Pull a 'LOST' in the sense of what? That it's all imagined to some extent?
I could still see them telling us it's in David's mind, even the Summerland folk...I'm a part of the bandwagon that doesn't care if that happens. I think they'd still do a good job with it, but I could go either way on that truthfully.

And yes, those damn legs *shakes fist* What is UP with that?! For all the the big stuff they blow our minds with, that smaller detail is bugging me more. I think it's cause we all feel it must be indicative of something much larger at play. They put us on alert from the pilot with that and just keep itching at that scratch, haha.

It's like we're all Mind Coffin David, banging on the lid desperate to get out and see the light 😝

Pull a 'Lost' in the sense that they set up all these mysteries, and then forgot to explain most. But I wouldn't mind if we've been in David's mind this whole time, because stuff has happened regardless where we are. Though it's the more obvious way to go, I feel.

I agree, all those little things peppered throughout must be indicative of something. And as you said earlier, they might click into place in a big revelation in the finale.

They definitely do a great job in transferring David's state of confusion to the audience :D

SPOILERS!

I'm still not sure what his deal was. He was a mutant working for D3. As we discover in the finale D3 realizes that the mutants are like gods and are to be feared. So why would The Eye, a mutant, work for them?

Having said that it the finale David does tell the Interrogator that they need to work together against the SK.

I'm not that sure where D3 stands after the finale. But even if they are actively fighting against mutants, there are always sympathizers with the "enemy" in conflicts like this. I guess we'll see what's up with that next season :)

Yes we will. I can hardly wait.
