To complete his transformation into the Beast? Seemed like a long ways to go from the Phila Zoo? Mofo got back in a hurry though lol!

Earlier in the movie I think it mentioned that Kevin's father had left via train and so he had brought flowers to the train station a as some kind gesture before his transformation

May also be symbolism for where David Dunn first realized his "Unbreakable" abilities (the train crash).
