Inspiring movie for the dark times we're entering

As our Dark Lord begins dismantling the country socially and spiritually, this movie is like Olivier's Henry V released during WW II - a valiant reminder from another place and time to fight for our rights and never give in to an evil tyrant like Trump. Inspired me to march in Washington, will inspire me in days to come.

From my point of view, the creator of this thread is a tyrant.

ha good one

reply

Yes, this film is a complete escape from the reality that dumbass people brought upon us all. Trump will never work for the people and those who were dumb enough to vote for him are probably too stupid, or bullheaded to admit their mistake. Yet we all will suffer from their stupidity.

reply

It's a movie. Not everybody can be Malcom X, buddy.

reply

No, we just take to the streets and protest while you complacent noobs let fascists dismantle the country...

reply

I'm French, douchebag.

reply

That's an offensive word!

reply

I actually made an "I REBEL!" sign for an airport protest this weekend. Some people got it but it still worked for those that had no clue.

So why do you support people from unsavory countries?

reply

those are the people you bombed

Why DON’T you support innocent people persecuted in “unsavory” countries and forced to be refugees or die? Why do you turn your back on people who risked their lives to help our military in Iraq? Why do you reject your country's own founding principles so easily? the fundamental ideals of our culture of liberty and justice for all?

Everytime we help a nation, 10 years down the road they "thank us". The hell with the world. America 1st.

reply

You’re still trying to promote “Operation Iraqi Freedom”?

reply

Did you do the same thing in 2011 when Obama put a 6 month ban into place?

reply

so does "limited restrictions" equal "ban" to you? stop trying to spin this as Obamas fault. All Obama did was force people who had been in those countries to apply for a visa if they wanted to enter the US. They could no longer travel to the US without one. And it didnt even apply to dual citizenship. Trump forced through a ridiculously designed outright ban of ALL citizens of those countries no matter who they are and no matter what their situation. Now they are back peddling and allowing green card holders in because they are getting so much push back and they are unsure how this all works out legally.

It's just funny how much Trump gets criticized for doing the same thing previous presidents have been praised for doing.

reply

what dont you understand about the sentence "Obama did not ban people" exactly? trumps getting criticism for taking the unprecedented step of detaining people without recourse no matter how in need they are. even if they are five year olds separated from their mother because she was born in Iran or Kurdish freedom fighters who helped translate for american soldiers to their great peril just because they were born in Iraq. Obama let those people in. trump doesnt care.

Stop with the facts. You'll hurt his brain.

Haven't we been in dark times for 16 years ? You know, since 9/11 ?

So dramatic....

Perpetual outrage is the most popular religion today.

Its inspiring in that it told the untold story of those that fought and died bravely so that others may one day have freedom from a sociopathic evil regime.

parallels in real life and I would hope that it would remind us of the real life folks who did the same who's stories we will likely never know, but we are free today because of their bravery and must not let it be taken away by the current evil empire.
