Is anyone else sick of Tom Hiddleston?

I would like to see this film but he kind of turns me off. I know he's a good actor, but I don't know why I'm just sick of him and avoid his films. Maybe I just don't like his smug face. lol

Anyone feel the same?

reply

I feel the same way about Samuel L. Jackson. Guy is everywhere, in nearly every franchise, and save for Nick Fury, playing the same character (Samuel L. Jackson). I am so tired of this guy.

On note with your Tom Huddleston, the guy's career never really took off. After he stops playing Loki, expect him to drop away.

reply

Oh yeah, SLJ is another actor that gets up my goat. So sick of his shtick.

I'm getting to feel the same about Ryan Gosling too.

Post Loki, I don't think Hiddleston will drop away that easily though. Success has been inculcated in him the minute he was born. He boarded at Eton for heaven's sake! Maybe that's why he always looks so smug.

reply

For someone who doesn't like him, knowing he studied at Eton is quite a surprise...

reply

Samuel L Jackson is in so many movies playing similar characters that it does get a bit annoying. I can't say the same about Tom Hiddleson, though, because I personally have only seen him as Loki.

reply

In my case I really enjoy him.

reply

Boo! 😜 Please don't tell me you think he's 'really hot'! I don't get why he has such a big fanbase who think he's smouldering hot. Seriously, he's actually quite average looking imo. Not at all attractive. You don't have to be good looking though to be an actor, but I think if you want to be a leading actor in big budget films, it kind of helps.

Come on, but I bet there's some actor you can't stand, hey?

reply

Yeah there are actors I can't stand. I happen to think Tom is really attractive, but it's okay if others don't.

reply

I'm not a fan of Hiddleston, but I've noticed you don't have to be attractive to be a leading actor in Hollywood films if you have an upper-class English accent.

reply

Media saturation has turned me away from many a film. I usually wait to see films anywhere from 2-5 years after they've come out, thus avoiding the 'I'm tired of seeing him/her everywhere' syndrome. If I must see a film Now, I'll watch it at my youngest son's house.

There are many actors/actresses I'm particularly weary of, with Channing Tatum, Jennifer Lawrence, and Emma Stone being three. Tom Hiddleston is down further on my list.

reply

Oh yeah, that's the problem, media saturation. The less you know about an actor, the better, right? That's why I enjoy watching foreign films so much, because most of the time I don't anything about the actors.

Yeah, I wouldn't go out of my way to see Tatum, Lawrence or Stone...and if I do, it's actually 'in spite' of them, because I'm interested in the plot or some other actor.

reply

I'm kinda sick of giant spiderz. Why do they alwayz put 1 2 scare ze bejezus out of me? i.e. Lotr, Harry Potter, dis movie

reply

I have no idea who that is. So I guess I have not been watching the right movies to get sick of whoever it is.

reply

I saw him in British works long before I saw his 'Loki' break, so I appreciate his talent beyond the creepy that is tumblr stalkers - but I do agree the over saturation of any actors' face starts to turn you off after awhile.
I do find him to be an amazing performer though.

reply

If an actor is in good movies, I don't see any rational reason to get "sick" of him or her.

reply

Hes not going away, in fact hes one of the top candidates to become the next James Bond after Daniel Craig.

reply

Not sick of him at all really. He sounded like a bumbling idiot at the Golden Globes but he was great in that show. He's also gotta try to find better roles than this cause he barely made much of an impression here at all.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. https://youtu.be/g8hwq5Xx-_E
