If you like this movie that's great: more power to you. I really wanted to like it and it had a couple funny quips, but noting much really interesting happened. We left about 10 minutes before it ended because we really didn't care how it ended. I felt like I just sat through 2 HOURS of animals singing pop songs and that's it! Before you call me snooty or alternative please know I happen to like pop music. If you have different opinion (without being insulting) please tell me what you liked about it.

It was so boring!!! We watched at home and after an hour I shut it off my son said it was boring also

I agree. I'm not a fan of pop songs because they play too much on the radio. It was boring for the most part.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who felt that way. I see a lot of praise for the this movie on this board and think it's great that others enjoyed it. This film just didn't hold my interest.

I did not care for this film at all.

I was hoping for a fun family movie, not a stupid kids movie.

Maybe this is just me, but I honestly felt a lot of the characters were shallow, even amoral. Characters lie, steal, and cheat without consequence. However, everything works out for them because they all really wanted to sing for the theatre. Nothing about the end of the film was earned. The movie is hollow, and so boring that you feel every minute of the near 2 hour run time.

This is the definition of turn your brain off entertainment.

The problem is that the story is divided between six characters, all of which don't really interact or impact the other characters (except for the Koala) so while one characters story if going, the other 5 stories are put on hold. When you add to the fact that each characters 'story' is incredibly simplistic it all makes it seem like the film isn't going any where.

My husband and I loved it. The music was great and we loved the story. No, it's not a Oscar-winning, thought-provoking movie, but it was fun. I think it's about breaking out of your shell, getting out of a rut you're in in life and just making the most of what you have! 7/10
