Although Mike the Mouse was awful to everyone, I liked his confidence and style.
I was impressed by Taron Egerton's singing as Johnny the Gorilla though.

Johnny for sure. I loved everything about him- his accent, the way he dressed and of course his singing voice.
I thought his dad was definitely voiced by Idris Elba and was surprised when I found out it was not him! Sounded just like him!

Personally it was Buster, partly because of how they dodged the obvious route with him. Think about it, his only goal is to keep his theater open, and he's constantly avoiding his debtors. Most characters like this would be in the Max Bialistock from The Producer mold: sleazy and taking advantage of others. But Buster does it all out of a sincere and deep love of his theater and a belief in the power for live entertainment. I just love how non-cynical it is.
