Just saw "Sing" and loved it!

One thing that's driving me crazy...I cannot understand how Moon's voice was done by Matt McConaughey. It sounds absolutely (imo) nothing like him. I've seen him in countless films, and his voice is incredibly recognizable. This was nothing like it.

I've watched the trailer again after the film, now knowing who the voice is, and it still doesn't sound like him in any way.

BTW, I love the character, and his voice is perfect.

Anyone else get this?

I knew it was him from his first word.

I dont think it sounds like him at all. I try closing my eyes and still nothing.

I agree. I'd say he must of decided he wanted to put on a different voice rather than using his normal speaking voice.
