I mean that seems a little dumb to me, his entire plan was hinged on Ernesto fumbling and accidentally playing the tape, and of course he did. I expect more from these writers than that...
sharethe tape was already cued up by chuck and the play button was pushed in. so once ernesto popped in the batteries it automatically started playing.....just like chuck wanted.
