Disappointed and Disgusted (Spoilers)

I thought that last night's episodes were great. It was nice to see a lot of the backstory threads tied up into a complete story, even though there were a lot of scenes that contradicted previous information about who did what. That said, I'm currently disgusted with both Red and Kate and I'm not sure either of them deserve to survive. I've always hated Red's decision to kill Kate even though I didn't see anything else he could do. Letting Kate leave into exile always meant the danger that someone else could force or convince her to use all of her knowledge to attack Red. I hoped that they would find a way to forgive and get back to protecting Liz together.

I really, really hate the writers' decision to have Kate be the person attacking Red. I wouldn't mind Kate trying to destroy/kill Red in order to protect Liz, but the writers have destroyed Kate's character in the manner in which she's attacking Red. The attacks against Red's organization have shown a complete willingness to destroy innocents in order to harm Red. The killing of the wife of the guy in Monaco just to frame him because he was an employee of Red is inexcusable. The wife didn't even like her husband working for Red. Last night showed a Kate destroyed by the death of her lover and for her to turn around and do that to someone else just because that someone else was working for Red is unforgivable. Allowing/ordering the attack on the paralyzed doctor because Red was using his company (I don't think it was proven that the doctor even knew what Red was doing) shows a complete willingness to destroy anyone to get to Red. I'm not sure even Red has ever shown that level of ruthlessness to collateral damage. Unless there is someone else above Kate who is directing the overall strategy, the writers have turned Kate into a monster who now does need to be put down. I really hate the way that the writer have set this up.

Yep... but to be fair even in her backstory they pretty much painted her as a complete sociopath that cared about absolutely no one... I'm hopeful tonight they will let her die protecting Liz so her boney little corpse can go away.

She's definitely a sociopath. Red gave her a chance to co-exist, and she turned it down. Time for her to go down.

I don't remember Mr. Kaplan killing someone's wife. When did that happen?
