Yeah, I think they wanted to get it done in a span of 2 hours. I liked it for what it was, not too long, gave us interesting characters, good acting, I enjoyed it for the most part.

Yes, I think so. Maybe the writers couldn't think up any more stuff for him to deal with and just wanted them to be together for more general appeal. Or maybe it was edited out.
