This is the society we live in today. A majority of crybabies and easily offended human beings who are pathetically sensitive.
Pretty much. What doesn't help is that companies cater to and enable these individuals.
For example, Leslie Jones has said incredibly racist things about others on her Twitter Account, yet she had another individual permanently banned (not for things that he said to her) but for his "supposed" involvement of getting others to message her.
Paul Feig is a PERFECT example of how sensitive little snowflakes are. Rather than own up to the mistakes of this movie, he immediately went on the aggressive and hostile position and called everyone who disagreed with him "misogynists" and it eventually became the marketing campaign for this movie.
Really? THAT is how you market a film? The internet has created an enabling culture for the very loud, yet very small minority who just whine and cry when they do not get their way. The next few years should see a shift in positions from these folks thinking that they have any sort of influence over others.

The closure of IMDb boards will certainly help out Hollywood filmmakers and such who make less than desirable films and series. In a way it's good, but for them not for us (the customers). Then again, without the word of mouth niche movies/series will get less free publicity so it's a flawed but workable method for the majority of Hollywood.
I'm not here in support of IMDb boards shutting down or Hollywood but it's just how things are.
RIP IMDb.

Pretty much, yes. Really pathetic though that Hollywood has been able to put pressure on Amazon and stifle free discussion about the movies/tv shows.

At some point, IMDB figured out that the forums were out of hand. They actually have to employ people to moderate them, and they got sick after awhile of trimming whole threads. They decided the forums weren't worth the effort THEY put into them anymore and punted.
It's a shame, I like the forums, and they're a fantastic part of the site, even with all the crap to wade through.

Don't worry Final I'm sure he'll be back to reply...I seem to remember more than one permanent sign-off only to return every time someone like that tries to put themselves on an intellectual high horse it's just an embarrassing display to watch.
