Leslie's type casting
The race card doesn’t apply here.
Ironically those who claim this movie is racist, feminist, you don’t see them on any other boards protesting “The Women” (no males) or “Master and Commander” (no females) or “Gone with the wind”.
Instead they stalk the same forum, heckling a comedy about “ghosts” repeating themselves over and over again, (rubber stamp trolls) which means their credibility has zero value.
Leslie is type cast as the loud black woman, while the others are scientists.
Incorrect.
They’re ALL loud. Especially during the fight sequences.
Leslie is the counterpart of Ernie’s character from GB1, not a scientist, just an average Joe looking for a better job. She’s a reflection of Ernie, not a clone. If you want a clone, re-edit the original and loop the audio.
In fact she rejects the accolade “Patty, you’re a genius” and insists “No, I’m a Ghostbuster”. (Nice touch by the way). She’s actually the historian of the group. Pretty smart.
