TERMINATOR TECHNOLOGY

When Vandana Shiva mentioned "Terminator Technology", going on to explain about the agricultural implications of self-destroying, gene-modified seeds and how this showcases the cold and inhuman mindset of corporations; was there anybody else out there who could not but think of Skynet and endoskeletons, and T-100s and post-apocalyptic machines vs. humans crazy shenanigans?

I don't mean for this post to be relevant, but it's just that I found it somewhat comical in the way that 'terminator' was being used there, or at least the fact that my mind couldn't disassociate a simple and common word from a fictitious world where androids/robots wage war against struggling human resistance fighters, and where time-travel buffoonery happens to be prevalent as well.. It really got me distracted from the film for at least 3-5 minutes..
