The Assembly Cut of Alien 3 is a masterpiece. It's dark, brutal, gory, and depressing. It got rid of one of the most annoying ass characters in this franchise (I'm talking about Newt).

Alien: Erection is a retarded ass action comedy film that tried to be "funny" and "cool" at times but came off corny and lame instead. Not to mention, the Xenomorphs in this film looked dumb with their underbites. And that Xenomorph/Human hybrid looked like S H I T! Holy fvcking moly, what the Hell was HR Giger thinking at that time?

You don't get to see the Queen Alien fighting or killing anyone because it gets killed by that ugly ass Xenomorph/Human hybrid baby quickly. So stupid.

Dude Alien Resurrection is just as good as Alien 3. Get over it.

Where do you stand on the AvP films? I've gotten say, A:R is almost in their lower leagues, while A3:AC is (imo) better than A2, but not up there with A'79...

The AVP films to me, have and always will NOT be canon. Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, Prometheus and the upcoming Alien Covenant are the only canonical films in the series. The AVP films are fun little popcorn movies to watch every once in a blue moon but they do not at ALL stand in the league of the 5 Alien films so far.

Absolutely they're not canon, but (and again, just my opinion) I don't rate A:R highly enough to acknowledge it as such either, like I said in another thread though - the story ends with Ripley dying in A3 - I haven't watched A:R in years and so far the Promethius/Covenant series is feels too far removed, but obviously as we get closer to the events of Alien and hopefully Ridley Scott puts his big boy pants back on, that might all change!

Dude we agree that Alien 3 is awesome. But I absolutely cannot agree with you that Resurrection is as good as Alien 3. They took a massive dump on Giger's xenomorph concept and made it too cute.. and generally over-sexualized it way too much.
