Did any of the main characters have a bus licence?

How were any of them able to drive that huge bus thing without a bus licence? In Australia, you can't drive a vehicle with more than 14 seats unless you have a special bus licence. I suppose you could just drive it without one anyway, but then in the event of an incident, you wouldn't be covered by insurance due to the fact that you're driving unlicenced (even if you have a car licence). This is a bit of an oversight on the part of the filmmakers. They should have had them getting around in a more realistic vehicle.

It's just a movie!

What a strange point to get hung up on. 

Actors drive, fly, or skipper all sorts of conveyances in films, or pretend to. I hardly think this is a factor that would bother many viewers of the film, outside of the bus driving community. 😉

And who says they don´t? How many car driving licenses you see in other movies, unless it becomes important for the plot?

reply

Because generally the only people who have bus licenses are people who drive buses for a living. And did any of the characters in this movie look like they've ever done that kind of job before?

reply

What makes you think they have insurance?

reply

"Look like"? Well, Bernadette would be a fair choice. Or Mitzy. Or Felicia.

You know, there is no such thing as "he looks like a bus driver" when someone isn´t actually wearing a bus driver uniform.
