Was the budget really $6 million dollars?

I thought it seemed way higher.

The movie was extremely gritty and no attempt was made to choreograph or glamorize war is probably the reason for the low budget

reply

The low budget was due to Platoon being an independent film. There was no other reason.

Orion films tended to be low budget. Having said that Platoon is one of the greatest and most iconic films ever made.

reply

No.

Nothing can be $6 million dollars.

Think about what you are saying; what does the "$" signify?

So you are asking if the budget was "Six million dollars dollars"??

Come on, you should know better. Why put the 'dollars' there two times separately?

Moron.

So one of the best films of all time cost 10% of the budget of one episode of Rings of Dogshit.

The production costs of "Avengers: Endgame" (2019), "The Avengers" (2012), and "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (2015) amounted to 356 million, 220 million, and 250 million U.S. dollars, respectively,

Also,
one of the best films of all time cost about 3 or 4% of the budget of every turd Marvel has ever shitted out.

For some perspective, the budget for "Aliens" (1986) was $18.5 million. Top Gun was $15 million.
